While camera equipment is important and necessary to make photographs, nature photography is more about "getting out there" and having experiences in the wild. I believe that more and more photographers are becoming focused on staying on top of the digital age and forgetting their true passion of experiencing the wild places in which we live.

I use both digital and film cameras while in the field, I enjoy the advantages of both. One of my favorite things about photography is sitting down in front of the lightbox with a new box of slides, on the other hand I enjoy the instant viewing capabilites of digital. I use the D300 and F100 because of their rugged and compact properties.
